My Best Friend. My Soulmate. My Husband.

There’s something about this man that amazes me all the time. 19 years I’ve watched you grow and still watching you and admiring you still.
Something not many people know. Something I’ve held close to my heart, but something I feel ready to share.
Because before he became the man everyone sees today, there was a younger version of him who was still finding his way through life, carrying things that not everyone could see, fighting battles that not everyone knew about, and learning how to become the man he is today.
From the moment I met him to where he stands today, he is a completely different person. And having the privilege of witnessing that transformation has been one of the most beautiful things I’ve experienced in my life.
The way he carries himself today, the way he stands in his mana, the way he moves through life with a strength and confidence that comes from everything he has overcome — it honestly blows me away.
I don’t think he will ever fully understand how much watching his journey has shaped me, too.
I met him when we were young. Before the responsibilities, before the years of building a life together, before we became parents and before life tested us in ways we could never have imagined.
I watched him work from a young age, become a father, carry responsibilities, fight his own battles and navigate pain that I know wasn’t always easy for him to put into words.
There were things he had to work through within himself. Things that took time, growth, reflection and courage.
And while I won’t share every part of his story, because some things belong to him alone, I will always acknowledge the strength it takes to face yourself, confront what you’ve carried and choose to grow beyond it.
Because real strength isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it’s found in the quiet moments. In the decision to keep showing up. In the willingness to learn, to change, to heal and to become more aware of the person you want to be.
And that’s what I’ve had the privilege of witnessing in my husband.
I’ve watched him find himself. I’ve watched him grow into his own mana. I’ve watched him become more comfortable in who he is and more intentional about the man he wants to be.
And one of the greatest things I’ve witnessed is the way that growth shows up in our home.
The way he loves our babies. The way he shows up as their dad. The way he carries the responsibility of being a father while still working on himself.
And the way he loves me.
Not just as his wife, but as his best friend. The person who has walked beside him through different seasons of life, who has seen versions of him that the world may never know, and who continues to fall in love with the man he is becoming.
People often see the person standing in front of them today, but they don’t always know the journey it took to get there.
They don’t see every battle. They don’t see every moment of doubt, every lesson, every setback or every quiet decision to keep going.
But I do.
And I think that’s what makes our love so special to me. I’ve never only loved the man he is today. I’ve loved him through the different versions of himself, through the growing, the learning, the difficult seasons and the beautiful ones.
And somewhere along the way, watching him find his strength helped me discover my own.
His courage reminded me that we can grow beyond the things we’ve experienced. His determination showed me that we don’t have to remain the people we once were. And his journey taught me that becoming who you are meant to be is not always a straight path.
Sometimes you have to unlearn. Sometimes you have to sit with things you’ve avoided. Sometimes you have to find the courage to look within yourself and decide that the way forward starts with you.
And watching him do that has inspired me more than he probably realises.
After all these years, after everything life has brought our way, I still find myself looking at him with so much admiration.
Not because he’s perfect. Not because he has everything figured out. But because I know how far he’s come, and I know what it takes to keep growing.
I’m proud of the man he is today, but I’m equally proud of the man who had to walk through all those years to become him.
My best friend. My soulmate. My husband.
The man who has grown alongside me, built a life with me, become a father with me and continues to teach me things about love, strength and growth simply by being himself.
And if there’s one thing I hope he knows, it’s this:
I see you.
I see the growth. I see the strength. I see the man you are today, and I see the courage it took to get here.
And I hope you never stop standing in your mana, because watching you become more of yourself has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
I don’t just love you for the life we’ve built together.
I love you for the person you are, the person you’ve worked so hard to become, and the person you continue to grow into.
And if I could choose all over again, knowing everything I know now, I’d still choose you.
Every version of you.
Every season of us.
Every time.
Because long before the world sees the man you are, I will always remember the young man I met, the journey we’ve walked, and the love that has carried us here.
My husband. My best friend. My soulmate. My forever.
